This study was done at a very small scale and therefore fails to take into account a lot of factors that can affect the grapes. There are a lot of factors that can affect vineyard suitability such as soil contents and ph or soil temperature, .... There are also very different varieties of vine and each has its own optimal and suitability conditions. For example white wine grapes such as Riesling can grow perfectly in cold climate conditions and yield a good wine but for example varieties like shiraz require more than what we considered optimal conditions.
